Lindsy Boateng, M.S. and Ph.D. Candidate, Treasurer
Lindsy Boateng is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Cell and Molecular Biology department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research is focused on molecular mechanisms of cancer cell invasion and motility to better understand how the spread of cancer in an individual may be restricted. Lindsy has published her first research paper in 2012, a review, and intends to publish more before concluding her Ph.D. in early 2015. Lindsy pursued her undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Environmental Biology, preceded by her Masters education in Cell and Molecular Biology where she performed additional research. During this time, Lindsy became involved with international communities and developed a deep interest and passion for helping genuine persons from around the world. As a person of faith and science, Lindsy aspires to become a biology professor in academia and to be used in a variety of ways to benefit others.
