Dr. Louis Ngamassi is currently an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) at Prairie View A&M University – College of Business. He received his PhD form the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State University. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Pace University – New York and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Yaoundé – Cameroon. His research focuses on information technology (IT) and information systems (IS) design, development and use for inter-organizational coordination and social networks among humanitarian organizations.
Louis’s work has appeared in the following journals: Journal of Information Technology (JIT); Journal of Information Technology and People (JITP); Information Technology and International Development (ITID); International Journal of Intelligent Control and Systems (IJICS); International Journal of Information Technology and Management (IJITM); International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change (IJISSC); He has also presented his work at various international conferences and has regularly participated in an international community of researchers interested in the development and use of IS/IT for social good (e.g., Lisbon-Portugal for ISCRAM 2011; Lima-Peru for AMCIS 2010; Addis-Ababa Ethiopia for IFIP 2007).
Louis is a former Fulbright and a former United Nations Fulbright Fellow. Louis is also a former Frederick Douglass Scholar. He is also recipient of numerous scholarships and awards from organizations such as USAID and the French Agency for Technical and Cultural Cooperation (ACCT).
